On the way back from a quick shopping trip to the outlets in Lancaster, I passed this log cabin. It is quite old and restored and turned in to a little flower shop. It is located behind the Strasburg Inn. That is where we had our wedding reception in 1989!! No not this little house, the Strasburg Inn!!

Loose tea has so much more taste than bag tea. This is a blueberry/peach combination from Teavana in the mall. They have over 50 different types of teas you can mix to create your own blend. This is our favorite one however. We like the Roobios teas because they are more fruity and a bit sweeter than many of the others.

The combination of greens and blues in this glass bowl is appealing to me. This would make a great display on a table.

One of the many side of the road Amish shops. This is a woodworking place that makes small sheds but is mostly known for the backyard playgrounds/swingsets. No Sunday sales.

Chester County is filled with little historical stone houses across the countryside. This one has been restored to what may be the original structure shape. No one lives in here at the moment. This is a mix of the past of the home and the present of the stop sign!

Wind farms like this are unique in the East. If you have ever seen one, you will know how big they are up close. This one is in the bay in Atlantic City, NJ.

You can't miss this cowboy on the way to the beach on route 40 in Woodstown, NJ. It is located right next door to the Cowtown Rodeo!! Yes that is a rodeo in New Jersey and is very popular in the summer.

I know this looks like a nice blue and fluffy cloud sky, BUT it is really indoors at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City. Barb and I spend the night for Mother's Day. Later we will see Cirque de Soliel in the casino. It is a smaller version they designed for this site.

The garden is starting to take shape. Over the years, I have planted many different types of hosta. The small ones in the back are called Lime hosta. They stay small and have a different shade of green.

Blackstone's is an English style pub. They serve several British brews including this special Banana Bread. It really tastes quite good. A hint of banana bread and not too sweet. It is served in a 17 oz bottle too! It is like a glass and a half.

Vanity tags are very popular here in PA. Can you guess their interest? I have a few more I see each morning on the way to work. I have been commuting with this person on the highway for over 25 years, but I have no idea who they are. I just pass them in the morning, or they pass me.

In the bromeliad room at Longwood Gardens, this appears to be a little nest of baby birds looking for their next feeding. In reality, it is a plant inside the water deposit of another. Today I am on a field trip with the 7th grade. Our program was to learn about Integrated Pest Management and how it works at Longwood. You can use many of the theories at home as well. It is a rainy, overcast and dark day for this trip, but we go regardless of the weather. You would never know it was so ugly outside the way the flowers and plants look inside the Conservatory.

Not a great shot, but indicitive of the silly photos my daughter and her friends like to take of each other. They pretend to be super models and try to find the best glam shot. This shows off Sarah's blue eyes, even though she moved during the shot.

Here is a long collage of ceramic pieces in the cafeteria of our elementary school. There are many small pieces of artwork contained with the wall sculpture. It takes quite a while to explore the whole thing. I would imagine that the students had a blast putting this together.

Tonight is the Master's Commission end of year dinner. These students have spent the year in service and academics toward their degree. We were honored to sponsor a young lady in our home. She fit in great and was a welcome big sister to Barb. We will have Michelle back for a third year next fall.

Our church sponsors a Master's Commission program. This is the opening of the graduation program where 3 of the over 30 students begin their signature performance "Stomp". It is very noisey, but very entertaining and they go through many many trash cans each year! Yes, those two guys are twins.

The cooling towers of Limerick, PA do not stop daily business of the scurry of people. Right down the street is our destination "Premiere Outlet Center"! This is really tooooo far for me to travel very often, but this is the second trip in 2 months. I had something to return and my daughter wanted to get out of the house. The closer you get to these cooling towers the larger get.

Lillytopia is the name of the current exhibit at Longwood Gardens. We love Longwood and just bought a season pass again. This year I upgraded so I can take another adult along with a friend for my daughter. The gardens are world renown and often hosts visitors from many countries. There are hundreds of acres of idea gardens from simple cottage gardens to the elaborate Children's Garden in the Conservatory. Year round Longwood is open to visitors and even though the outdoors may be cold and icy, the indoor gardens in the Conservatory are spectatular. If you ever get the chance to visit the area, save several hours to stop here.
