The garden is falling asleep, but this little fern just popped up within the last few days. I didn't plant ferns, they were part of the natural environment here in my yard by the deck. I love the plants when they first come up from the dirt. The soon take over and I need to thin them out often! Want some of these too?

This is the last flower on the shrub. The others you can see in the background have turned to a rusty brown. Many people dry those and use in flower arrangements. Do you want some? The color of this is Nikki blue. I must remember to put some fertilizer in the ground this winter to keep them blue for next year.

I have three holly shrubs. Two produce these grand red berries, and the other helps with pollination. The birds have been gathering here, but they fly away so quickly when I come out with my camera.

Stopped at the Doc in a Box to have a check. I think my appendix is acting up. So went for a CAT scan and they found nothing. More tests next week.

While I was waiting for barium to move through my system, I needed to walk around. This helicopter landed across the street at the hospital. No emergency, maybe a pickup. Yes I said barium, I had a cat scan of my abdomen possible appendix issue, but results showed nothing.

Not sure what type of moth this is, but it showed up on my front porch at 9PM and stayed a long time. It is about 3 inches from top to bottom and didn't even move.

At our Open House the PTO organizes the Spirit Wear sale. You can get many different things with our school logo upon it. There are shorts, flannel pants, sweatshirts, gym bags and more. When did the price of sweatshirts get so high? And why?

On our ride to school, my daughter took this beautiful sunrise shot. We came up from a small valley and this just lit up the sky. Of course the photo does not do it justice! I wish I could just poof the telephone poles and wires away!

Went to Groffs to get some new plants for the front of my house now that the large bushes have been removed. I got some personal attention to detail and this was one of the recommended plants to replace the old bushes.

Over 20 acres of sunflowers by Longwood Gardens! They planted over 45,000 to sell in the gift shop and they will be cut down next week! This is a beautiful view when you come over the hill and see the vast sea of green and yellow flowers! Two turkey buzzards fly by watching overhead. I need to go back and take some close ups pics.

This was emailed to me as "from a Chinese Wal-Mart". But if you look closely, the whole thinks is in another language except "Anti-Bacterial". What is that supposed to mean? Size L/100.

This is a Yoostar kit. It comes with the camera, USB connection to your PC, the great portable green screen and software all for $99. One of our teachers has a cousin in this business and he wanted to know if schools would be interested in the product. YES YES YES Basically it is karaoke for video. You can put yourself in the scene of some pretty famous movies! So far we have played with sitting in the Blues Brothers car and just talking, saying the alphabet with Elmo, talking from the moon, and a few others. Just the teachers had a blast exploring the backgrounds in the product! Easy to set up and very easy to use even with elementary students. Visit http://www.yoostar.com for more details.

Found this photo of a bonfire at friends house from last weekend. I am glad it came out! I didn't even check it after I took it because I never thought you would see details! I am sure this burned for hours after we left! But the homeowner stayed to keep an eye on it.
