As we were walking through the Philadelphia Airport, I noticed this cool image. ATT ads have several interesting pieces of artwork painted on skin. Orlando had one with ancient Egyptians, as in hieroglyphs, holding an ATT phone. Look closely and you will see that this is really a pair of hands holding the phone, not the Great Wall of China. Excellent ad, except that the art is more interesting than the phone or company!

Celebrating 60 years of marriage, my parents cut the cake mady by my sister, Kim and decorated by many! It was a wonderful evening with their friends and 17 of our family members. The food was delicious, the company fun and many memories were created.

This is a thistle tatoo from my cousin Kammie's foot. She decided that she wanted a tatoo, and chose the thistle to represent that she is Scottish. Nice idea.

Our small GPS activity begins on the blacktop and wanders all over the field here at school. This was done with all 8th grade geography classes and the kids had a blast.

During our GPS activity today, the grounds crew decided to spread manure on the football field. The students adjusted and just walked around the work in action. It was a great day to be outdoors and the kids enjoyed the activity. Each station had a collage of natural resources for the students to record. For a 45 minute period, students were able to visit 6 different stations. The follow up class will be to do a writing activity about the resources their group gathered.

Burying a winter treasure. This little guy ran all over my front lawn until he found just the right place to dig a hole and place his winter food supply safely hidden.

Took the dog for a walk around the neighborhood and of course I took the camera! At first I thought this was milkweed, but looking closer I noticed a star-like seed. Pretty whatever it is.

Didn't mean to, but my flash went off. This is the best of the three shots I took. The others have dark all over the tree. I never thought to use the flash outdoors on a sunny day, but it helped to light this tree and the inside of the woodpecker hole. I am actually on top of a 40' tower and this tree is right next to the tower! But no bird in the hole. Maybe next time.

Our FCS students created and planted 16 raised gardens in September and their rewards are ready! Spinach, onions, radishes, Swiss chard, and lettuce are abundant here. The food is grown by the students and given to the Chester County Food Bank for distribution to needy families. When winter arrives, the growing will move indoors to the greenhouse seen in the background.

Happy Birthday to my momma! Here are some flowers for you! I know you will like these since you do not have to weed or care for them. LOL

These shovelers paddle across the main pond at Bombay Hook stopping to feed on the critters under the surface of the water. It is quite funny to see all of their little bottoms up in the air while they feed.

There were birds everywhere at Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge in Delaware today. These egrets walked pretty close to the car almost posing for the camera. Sometime in the next 3 weeks the population of wildlife will reach almost a million migrating birds and wildfowl in the ponds and reeds of the marshes.

This week will probably be the end of the leaves on the trees. The wind is kicking up and rain is forecast. This is a sweet gum tree in the yellow.

I thought this was an aphid, but upon a closer examination, well I am not sure what it is now. But the plant is milkweed and is in the meadow in my yard. The seeds are ready to blow away soon.

This net has been well used. We can adjust the height of the backboard, but the kids loved it low, so they could be more successful in their shot.

Election Day 2010. I have met this candidate and been to several of his events. I like the guy and hope he wins, but he has tough competition. I am tired of the negative ads on tv and am so glad that the election is over tonight. Now to take down the signs from the roadsides.

We got this car for a bargain for the daughter. BUT she is dragging her feet to get her license, so Mom is having fun driving it around town and to work. It is quite a change from my soccer mom mini van that is in the garage! I like the pep and style of this little cruiser.

Once again this great photo is taken by my daughter and not me. We got a new camera and she is a master. Now I think I will let her have her own Flickr account, so she can upload a photo a day too!
